I mean, if you don’t know what’s in gin and tonic…
I suppose I could clarify some measurements? Hmmm… I’ll do my best.
Tonic water – one bottle of Fever-Tree Tonic Water. My personal preference is the Elderflower Tonic Water.
Gin. This is tricky. I want to drink responsibly, truly, but I largely eye-ball this shit. I’ll try to do better. In terms of which gin? God there are some good ones around.
Little Lon Distilling Co. (Fun fact: tiny distillery that used to be a brother in the 1800s. If that’s not a reason to go there, I don’t know what is. But they also do a mean bottled cocktail for these COVID-19 times.)
That Spirited Lot Distillers. (During last year’s lockdowns, these were probably my favourite gift to arrive at the door from a friend.)
Oak Gin, Eden Mill Distillery, St Andrews. (Bunking my own convention and linking straight to the gin, cause this one is just friggin’ beautiful. Plus, it comes in a ceramic bottle people, ceramic. That’s just classy. It feels glorious to hold… Yeah, I know, I’m learning a lot about myself right now, too.)
Let’s move on. Limes. I did two. Squeezed right up in there. I’d do the same with tonic water without the gin, if you can believe that I occasionally don’t add the alcohol. Point is, limes are the best.
